Significance of Women in the Property Market.

As we celebrate International Women’s Day, we applaud the positive change towards women in the real estate space. A few years ago, women investing in property was unheard of as it was a preserve for men.

Through women’s empowerment, zeal, and hard work, women have been key players in the property market. It’s no surprise that women are outshining men in buying houses.

Saving with SACCOs and taking bank loans has facilitated their entry into real estate.

Unlike before, when women were left out in the home purchasing process, they have now become key decision-makers. From house-hunting to the financial aspects, to finding a suitable location, and to finally finding the perfect house.

By being part of this journey, we’ve established four factors women consider when looking for a perfect home.

1.Amenities

These give a property life and vigor. When Naomi visited Impala Dreams, a spacious 4 bedroom all-ensuite maisonette, she fell in love with the swimming pool, the gym, and the Children’s play area.

Having a swimming pool within the compound was a great relief to her considering the high temperatures in Rongai. The Gym was an added advantage because she did not need to pay for a gym membership.

We have also considered these amenities in our upcoming project- Impala Garden, with an addition of a grocery store and a clubhouse.

2.Location

This is one of the most important factors to consider when purchasing a house.

3. Space

Women are natural homemakers.
